Is it that time of the year already? Sort of - in years past, the annual Pigeon Forge Spring parade; formerly grand marshaled by Dolly Parton and Cal Ripken, would come early-to-mid May as a way to bridge the gap between the Spring Break seasons and the Summer Vacation seasons of the year; but for 2025, the Music In The Mountains Spring Parade now helps usher the Spring season in shortly after the official start of the season - and it's coming a lot sooner than you think.

Back to school" is on everyone's mind, but as of writing, it's only actually been Summer for slightly more than a month. The Summer season will be winding down not too long from now and we'll soon be starting a brand new tourism season with the ever popular Harvest Festival Autumn season in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville and the rest of the Tennessee Smokies. Fall in Southern Appalachia is a time to cherish - the cooling, brisk air adds a dimension of dignity to the atmosphere, the cities bring out the straw, pumpkins, hay bales and Halloween decorations for inside and the outside the establishments, the sun setting earlier reminds us of the holiday season to come and, of course, we get views of the Smoky Mountain Fall colors stretched out for miles and miles ahead of us that you can't beat anywhere else in our little area!

For many visitors, a Smoky Mountain vacation is an annual (or otherwise frequent) tradition. When it's Summer and the kids are out of school, it's time for a trip to the Smokies! When it's early-mid Fall and the leaves are changing color, it's time for a trip to the Smokies! When it's Spring Break and solitude in a luxury Appalachian house all by yourself sounds great after weeks of study at college, it's time for a trip to - yep, you recognized the pattern here.
