Only a couple of weeks until 4th of July and the Pigeon Forge Patriot Festival comes back around for another awesome day-long celebration of Summer fun and American freedom! Here's what the city of Pigeon Forge has to say on the event for 2024:

For many visitors, a Smoky Mountain vacation is an annual (or otherwise frequent) tradition. When it's Summer and the kids are out of school, it's time for a trip to the Smokies! When it's early-mid Fall and the leaves are changing color, it's time for a trip to the Smokies! When it's Spring Break and solitude in a luxury Appalachian house all by yourself sounds great after weeks of study at college, it's time for a trip to - yep, you recognized the pattern here.

Brochures for vacation ideas like Parrot Mountain in Pigeon Forge are everywhere. Every rest stop, gas station, restaurant, grocery store and information desk in the county stocks some awesome information and visual demonstrations of a variety of attractions in town that don't always get the spotlight when talking about fun things to do with the family in our area.

These are snapshots of special events going on during the Spring season in East Tennessee within a reasonable driving distance of the Smokies from Tennessee Home & Farm Spring 2024 and Tennessee Connections Spring 2024 magazines.

Is it time to start celebrating the Emerald Isles' influence on the Smoky Mountains? Almost! Sevier County rings in the return of the green in the nature surrounding us with events honoring the Celtic heritage that is a large piece of our cultural foundation starting as early as 2 weeks before St. Patrick's Day.

That interesting time of the year between the end of the long cold season in the Smokies and the return of nature and warm weather where we celebrate the cowboy lifestyle of yesteryear is upon us yet again. West comes East and merges with old-school Appalachia for the perennial favorite Pigeon Forge Chuck Wagon Cookoff weekend.

By now, the Christmas decorations have (hopefully) been put away for another 10 months, the eggnog has long been drunk to its full contents, all the "Happy New Years" wishes have been granted and we move on to the quiet season of the Smokies as Winter continues on until the third week of March.

Coming December 1st for 2023 is the 48th annual Fantasy Of Lights Christmas Parade in downtown Gatlinburg! Gatlinburg's most popular Christmas centered event comes marching down Highway 321 to Stoplight #10 at 7:30PM for more than an hour of famous Christmas characters, carolling, floats, marching, clown cars and even drum and pipe bands. All your favorite characters, new and old, famous and maybe some obscure icons from way back in the day, will all be there that evening and you and your kids are going to love it and treasure the memories forever.

Winterfest Cookoff and kickoff events are in full swing again! Traditionally, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have had their Winterfest kickoff events go alongside each other, either one day after the other or even on the same night, but this year we just happen to have a slew of Winterfest events all going on within 48 hours of each other that those who are visiting the Smokies to enjoy the kickoff will find adding even more to their visit!

Of course, it wouldn’t be Array without our award winning, record holding variety acts that will amaze you, keep you laughing and leave you in awe and on the edge of your seats! We’re also proud to share the real reason we celebrate the season… the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ with a touching and life changing Nativity scene.
