We're past the halfway point of Winterfest 2019-2020 and entering the "Valentine's Day" section of the season where the stillness of the Smokies naturally lines up with the holiday to produce a wonderful, quiet and dignified atmosphere that is what we all desire for our romance ambience. You could call it a match made in heaven by heaven.

While we get excited and look forward to the Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Year's holiday block of activities like everyone else, we also look forward to the other half of Smoky Mountain Winterfest when everything is at its quietest for the year until the temperatures build back up in mid-March when Spring Break starts.

One of Gatlinburg's oldest continuing attractions made some big news in the area this year for a very good reason, and in this article, we wanted to shine a spotlight on them and give a quick recommendation for you to see why Gatlinburg SkyLift should be on your itinerary during your next Smoky Mountain visit!

We get asked by guests every so often about restaurants in Pigeon Forge we would recommend for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner that are easy to get to from their Smoky Mountain Dream Vacation cabin. In this article, we'll list some of the ones we tend to recommend that are not chain restaurants (though they may have more than one location in town) and easy to get to from our properties in Pigeon Forge.

To call Gatlinburg's Ripley's Aquarium a must-see attraction barely does the reality of it justice. The fact of the matter is that Ripley's Aquarium is a literal hub of attraction and activity in the downtown area and anyone who has been to or even viewed pictures of it online can see why.

What is the "Quiltfest" event you see Pigeon Forge and some of the surrounding areas advertise in late Spring? It's exactly what it sounds like: a huge convention for quilts, quiltmaking and the artists and eventholders who keep the age-old tradition alive.
